What is This Blog about?

Cider Couple is devoted to all things cider.

We post weekly cider reviews along with other cider-related content. This includes events we attend, cider house tours, taprooms, recipes, and our thoughts on current topics in the world of cider.

How Our Rating System Works:

Each cider is given an overall score of 1 to 10 apples, with 1 being the lowest score and 10 the highest.

About Us

Hi there, we're Ramsay and Julia!

We're a Boston-based couple, who loves to travel and try out new food and drinks. We have recently taken a liking to craft ciders, after sampling several local (and a few English) ones. After noticing that there were not too many websites dedicated to craft cider, we decided to create this blog in order to share our reviews of hard ciders, as well as our thoughts on other cider-related topics. (Check out this post for more information on why we created this blog.)

About Julia:

When I'm not sipping away on cider or daydreaming about traveling, I'm programming in SQL and R. I love to bake, especially sourdough breads, and I even mill my own flour for my breads and other baked goods. Other hobbies of mine include reading, embroidery, playing board games (any other fans of Pandemic and Witch of Salem out there?), and watching classic British television like Fawlty Towers. The only other thing you need to know about me is that I love dogs, especially the giant, fluffy ones.

About Ramsay:

Same as Julia; when I'm not fantasizing about our next trip or cider to try, I'm plugging away in data using SQL and Tableau. I like doing photography. I have recently started using a DSLR camera, and I'm excited to get good at using it. Other than that, I enjoy occasionally painting, playing video games, and watching all the different shows on TV (Game of Thrones, Daredevil, and Luther just to name a few). I also am a lover of corgis. We hope to have one of our own someday.
