Our Review of the Cider

Julia's Thoughts and Rating:

This cider starts off with some carbonation, as well as a very slight bite.  This initial bite, however,  quickly dissipates, and the cider becomes pleasantly sweet, with notes of honey and sweet apples.  It finishes with a flavor of whiskey.  This cider is just a tad under semi-sweet (due to the slight dryness upfront), and it is a relatively light cider that leans a tad toward medium body.  Overall, I really enjoyed this cider, and I found the hint of whiskey to be a unique and tasty addition to the cider’s flavor profile.  As this cider is neither overly dry nor sweet, it would make for a great introductory cider for someone new to the world of craft ciders.

Ramsay's Thoughts and Rating:

  • Has almost no bite to it when first sipping it.

  • Very appley taste throughout the sip (some ciders are more appley tasting than others).

  • Can start to taste the whiskey flavor in the middle of the sip, and it lingers throughout the rest of the sip.

  • Has a light body to it overall, perhaps a touch toward medium body.

  • Toward the drier end of the spectrum; however, the whiskey flavor makes me want to keep coming back for more sips.

  • Great cider to have more than just one glass of due to its flavor and slight dryness.
