Overall Thoughts and Rating
Cidergeist Semi Dry is noticeably more carbonated than other ciders that I have tried. The sip begins with a punch of carbonation, as well as some dryness, but after a couple of seconds, the cider sweetens to a flavor reminiscent of the kind of apple juice that I used to drink out of juice boxes as a kid. The cider then finishes dry with notes of citrus. The body of the cider is halfway between light and medium; it is refreshing and relatively easy to drink. That said, after finishing my glass of Cidergeist, I did not find myself craving more. It is one of those ciders where after having a glass, I am satisfied but don’t want to keep drinking it.
Has a smallish but noticeable bite upfront that slowly fades away.
More carbonated than other ciders.
Would put it toward lower-medium body.
Can taste the sweetness throughout the sip, but it has a distinct dryness with a crisp, citrus finish.
The dryness has me wanting more with each sip.
Despite the dryness, I would likely only have one of them in a sitting at a time due in large part to the flavor profile.
Still a refreshing drink nonetheless.
