Our Review of the Cider
Julia's Thoughts and Rating:
Being that this cider contains blueberries, it should come as no surprise that it has a very distinct blueberry smell to it. The smell, however, is not overwhelming; I found it to be quite pleasant (it made me feel as though I were drinking one of those fruity sodas from my childhood). The cider has a little bit of a bite up front, as well as some carbonation, but both of those flatten out throughout the course of the sip. About midway through the sip, as the bite and carbonation start to mellow out, the blueberry flavor begins to come through, and it remains until the end. Toward the end of the sip, an apple taste becomes noticeable; although, it is definitely secondary to the blueberry. The cider is semi dry, having a slight sweetness to it, and it is between light and medium bodied, leaning slightly toward light. Overall, this is a decent cider, and the blueberry flavor is a fun and unique addition. That said, I did not find myself wanting to come back for more sips as I have with other ciders.
Ramsay's Thoughts and Rating:
Very noticeable blueberry smell upfront.
Has a medium bite to it that lingers past the sip.
More of a medium-bodied cider, with much more of a blueberry flavor than apple; although, I still noticed the apple flavor.
Despite containing blueberries, it has a distinct dryness to it, but it's not too dry.
The blueberry flavor is always persistent in it. You’ll like this cider if you love blueberries.
For me, this is a great way to mix things up from your usual cider drinks. That said, I would personally be fine with drinking one before having something else as my next drink.
It would make a great option in the summer with a BBQ.
