Overall Thoughts and Rating
From the tantalizing whiskey scent to the smooth, oaky flavor, this is a highly enjoyable cider. Nobletown is nicely balanced, with the acidity and tannin keeping in check the sweetness from the apple. Further, the oak barrel aging has given this cider depth and a nuanced flavor profile. I would certainly buy this cider again, and as someone who tends to prefer trying new ciders rather than purchasing previously tried ones, that is about the highest praise I can give.
I like when ciders incorporate hard liquor elements into their flavor, and Nobletown Hard Cider is no exception. I liked the flavor journey from the sweet apple and whiskey notes to the buttery smoothness to the bitter aftertaste. Maybe a touch too acidic for me at times. Nonetheless, it is another great barrel-aged cider worthy of a try, especially if you enjoy a glass of whiskey.
