Overall Thoughts and Rating
Overall, this was an enjoyable cider. The hops helped to offset the sweetness and also added some depth to the flavor profile. As it is on the sweeter side, I would likely only have one glass of this before moving on to a drier drink. That said, its sweetness makes this a great gateway cider: it’s an unintimidating cider that can introduce someone to the world of craft cider.
Overall, I liked Buzzwig. I felt like it delivered a nice sweet flavor that never became too sweet, which is not an easy feat for a sweet cider. It reminded me of an ale with its hoppy notes. Now, given its sweetness combined with its medium body, I would probably just have one at a time. Nonetheless, it is still a great cider worth a try.
